The “Shield Yourself” self-defence programme organized by the Women Cell of Malabar College of Arts and Science, Moodadi for the first-year girl students was successfully conducted. An awareness session and a technical training class were led by Mrs. Sheeja, Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police, Vadakara, and Mrs. Jeeja, Senior Civil Police Officer, Vadakara, from the Kozhikode Rural Self-Defence Team.
During the session, the resource persons explained about the various traps and dangers faced by women in today’s society and demonstrated effective techniques on how to defend oneself in case of an attack.
The programme proved to be highly informative and empowering, inspiring the students to stay strong, alert, and self-confident in all situations.
