“Pusthaka Padha”: Malabar College Students Spread the Light of Knowledge

In a commendable act of generosity and educational outreach, the Department of Management Studies at Malabar College of Arts and Science launched a meaningful initiative titled “Pusthaka Padha”, aimed at promoting literacy and nurturing a culture of reading.

As part of the program, the department donated a valuable collection of books to Muchukunnu UP School, extending a bridge of knowledge and support to young learners. The initiative also included book donations to the college library, thereby enriching its resources and encouraging students to engage more deeply in reading and research.

This initiative was more than just a book donation—it was about empowering minds and promoting the joy of learning,” said a faculty member involved in the program. “Our goal was to share the gift of knowledge and instill a sense of social responsibility among our students. Pusthaka Padha served as a platform to cultivate compassion, social awareness, and academic curiosity. Students actively participated in the collection and distribution of books, gaining firsthand experience in community service and civic engagement. The event reflects the Department of Management Studies’ unwavering commitment to holistic education—one that extends beyond the classroom to touch lives and build a more informed and empathetic society.
